My Flu Shot

flu-shot-juiceThis flu season has been especially bad. Literally everyone around me has had the flu. I took my friend to the doctor with the flu and congregated with all the sick people. And, yet (knock on wood) I haven’t had the flu.

My secret, you ask?

Here it is: I listen to my body. When I start to feel a little “ick”, I rest and then start juicing like crazy.

My flu shot juice is:

  • 1 pear
  • 1 square inch of ginger
  • 1/2 square inch of turmeric
  • 1 lemon

Juice it up and have it first thing in the morning. On alternate days, substitute the pear for a grapefruit or an orange. Your immune system will thank you.
